Dhanush has yet again released a poster for his upcoming mystery project. On Tuesday, the actor took to social media to tease a new project for which details will be released on July 10.
Dubbing it only as DxV, the latest poster for the project hints at a clash of past and future for the project, with wars being teased as a part of the film's plot. The poster shows a war on the oceans, which features battleships of yore going up against fighter jets of a technofuture. The actor captioned it by writing, "Paninthavarai Vittu Vaippan. Pagaiththavarai Nattu Vaippan. (He will forgo the beloved. He will impale the enemy).
The mystery surrounding the project has sparked rumours on who will ascend the director's chair. While Dhanush himself is speculated to direct the upcoming film, the 'V' in the poster has been interpreted to be Venkat Prabhu, with the upcoming project being the long rumoured Venkat Prabhu-Sivakarthikeyan project, where Dhanush has replaced Sivakarthikeyan. Meanwhile, Dhanush's regular collaborator Vetri Maaran is also rumoured to be the director of the upcoming film.
Dhanush, who was last seen in Kara, will be seen alongside Mammootty in Rajkumar Periasamy's Om. Sai Pallavi and Sreeleela also star in the film, which is set to release on October 15.
