Ahead of Radikaa Sarathkumar's Thaai Kizhavi release, Sivakarthikeyan had announced his second collaboration with director Sivakumar Murugesan with a glimpse video of his next titled Seyon, a rural entertainer. While Sivakarthikeyan is presenting Thaai Kizhavi which marked Sivakumar's directorial debut, the director's sophomore film Seyon is being backed by Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International (RKFI).

While plot details remain under wraps, the title video showed Sivakarthikeyan being treated as a God-like character when he comes to a police station during the Maasi Kalari Festival at a village following a chaotic event. He is described as Lord Virumaandi by a police officer, a call back to Kamal Haasan's iconic 2004 film of the same name. Now, director Sivakumar has shared details about the project.

In an interview with a reporter outside a theatre following Thaai Kizhavi's release, he said, "The film revolves around people who worship both deities Virumaandi and Murugan. It is not against anyone; rather, it respects all gods. This is a sincere and well-made film, and you will experience its true essence when you watch it on screen."
