The makers of Eerapadham Kaatru Mazhai, starring Vetri and Kishen Das in lead roles, unveiled the first-look poster of the film on Sunday. The psychological drama film, directed by debutant Saleem R Baadshah, also has Deepthie Orintelu playing an important character in the film.
In an earlier conversation with CE, director Saleem R Baadshah said, "Vetri as Sudharshan has an uncontrollable urge to strangle people when he sees their necks. He isolates himself due to this, but he has a dream to explore and experience life. Methini has a mindset that life has no value and doesn't express her emotions. Kishen, as Kani, does highway robbery for a living and can potentially cause grave harm to others. How these three arcs come together forms the rest of the story."
Apart from Vetri, Kishen Das and Deepthie Orintelu, Eerapadham Kaatru Mazhai also has writer Bakkiyam Shankar in a prominent role. A few newcomers will also be seen in supporting roles.
Amal Tomy is the cinematographer of Eerapadham Kaatru Mazhai, while Aashish Joseph handles the editing. The film is backed by IB Karthikeyan under the banner Big Print Pictures. A release date for the film is yet to be announced. A teaser for the film is expected to drop soon.
