We had earier reported that actor Kishen Das is shooting for his next film Eerapadham Kaatru Mazhai. The psychological drama film, directed by debutant Saleem R Baadshah stars actor Vetri in the lead role with Deepthie Orintelu playing an important character in the film.

On Saturday, Kishen Das took to his social media handles to share that he has wrapped up shooting for his portions in the film. He also shared a couple of his pictures from Eerapadham Kaatru Mazhai and said, "This will be my 6th film. Though some of them haven’t been amazing or haven’t done amazingly well, it feels surreal that I’ve been able to get and do so much work in this industry."

He further wrote, "EKM is definitely special, the feeling you get trying to play a character or act in a scene sometimes gives you the feeling that you’re working on something special. I had that a lot during EKM and I can’t wait to bring the film to you." Kishen Das plays the role of Kani Yashoda Nandan in the film.

In an earlier conversation with CE, director Saleem R Baadshah said, "Vetri as Sudharshan has an uncontrollable urge to strangle people when he sees their necks. He isolates himself due to this, but he has a dream to explore and experience life. Methini has a mindset that life has no value and doesn't express her emotions. Kishen as Kani does highway robbery for a living and can potentially cause grave harm to others. How these three arcs come together forms the rest of the story."

Apart from Vetri, Kishen Das and Deepthie Orintelu, the film also has writer Bakkiyam Shankar in a prominent role. A few newcomers will also be seen in supporting roles.

Amal Tomy is the cinematographer of Eerapadham Kaatru Mazhai, while Aashish Joseph handles the editing. The film is backed by IB Karthikeyan under the banner Big Print Pictures. A release date for the film is yet to be announced.

Kishen Das was last seen in director Gokul's Singapore Saloon, starring RJ Balaji in the lead role. Apart from Eerapadham Kaatru Mazhai, he also has Tharunam, directed by Arvindh Srinivasan in the pipeline.
