After a successful run at the box office, Mohanlal's Drishyam 3 is all set to make its OTT premiere. Directed by Jeethu Joseph, the film is the third instalment in the Drishyam franchise that began in 2013 and serves as a direct sequel to Drishyam 2 (2021) that released directly on Prime Video.

Five years after Drishyam 2, Georgekutty’s life appears stable. He has adapted the story of his past into a successful film and continues to live with his family while attempting to move forward. Despite his success as a film producer, his past catches up to him when Varun's vengeful parents team up with suspended cop Sahadevan to frame Anju in a fabricated crime, forcing Georgekutty to make a shocking, final decision to protect his family.

The film was met with positive reviews and massive commercial success, thanks to the massive response to the previous instalments. It grossed over Rs 200 crore within 10 days of its release, becoming the highest-grossing installment in the franchise. Apart from Drishyam 3, his earlier releases Thudarum and L2: Empuraan had also crossed the milestone.

An excerpt from our CE review of the film read, "The family drama and emotional layers are crucial, but the film thrives largely in the clever twists and the high it elicits. Drishyam 3 lacks sorely on that note, with very few moments that would make people go, 'Wow, how on Earth did Georgekutty have that covered?' You can't blame the viewer because that's how the franchise and its numerous iterations have trained its audience for all these years. But to be fair, Jeethu deserves a huge pat on his back for bravely opting for a profound ending."

The film also stars Meena, Ansiba Hassan, Esther Anil, Murali Gopy, Siddique, and Asha Sharath, among others.

Drishyam 3 is set to release on Prime Video on June 18.
