Shahid, who has been busy shooting for season 2 of his popular OTT series Farzi, had reportedly taken a brief vacation trip to Italy. However, the actor is now back in the country, and back to the sets of Farzi 2.
According to a report from Bollywood Hungama, Shahid was in Italy for a few days before his recent return to Farzi 2 shoot. Earlier, in an interview with Hollywood Reporter India, Shahid had confirmed that the shoot wrap for Farzi 2 is expected to be done by September. The shoot commenced in March this year.
The ongoing Mumbai schedule for Farzi 2 promises to take audience into the next chapter of Sunny’s story. Created by eminent filmmaker duo Raj-DK, the first season of Farzi released in 2023 and featured Shahid in the role of Sunny, a brilliant small-time artist, who gets propelled into the high-stakes world of counterfeiting after creating the perfect fake currency note.
Released on Prime Video, it also starred Raashii Khanna and Vijay Sethupathi in pivotal roles and marked the OTT debut for Shahid.
Meanwhile, more details about primary cast of Farzi S2 are awaited.
Meanwhile, Shahid has had two big theatrical release in 2026 so far — O’ Romeo and Cocktail 2. While O’ Romeo, The Vishal Bhardwaj directorial which also starred Triptii Dimri didn’t perform well, Cocktail 2 after a great opening failed to sustain the momentum, falling short of the 100 crore mark at domestic box office.
The latter, which also featured Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles, recently had its OTT premiere on Netflix.
