The Death of Robin Hood trailer: Hugh Jackman plays the titular vigilante in this reimagining of the legend

Hugh Jackman is Robin Hood, but not the one we all know, in the official trailer for A24's The Death of Robin Hood. A dark take on the classic Robin Hood tale, the film is helmed by Michael Sarnoski.

The trailer shows Hugh Jackman's Robin Hood grappling with his past after a life of crime and murder. A battle-worn loner, he finds himself gravely injured and in the hands of a mysterious woman who offers him a chance at salvation.

Jodie Comer, Bill Skarsgard, Murray Bartlett and Noah Jupe also star alongside Jackman in The Death of Robin Hood. Michael Sarnoski is best known for directing the Nicolas Cage starrer Pig and A Quiet Place: Day One.

Aaron Ryder and Andrew Swett have produced under their Ryder Picture Company banner alongside Alexander Black for Lyrical Media. Jon Rosenberg and Natalie Sellers have executive-produced with Rama Gottumukkala, Sarnoski, and Jackman.

A release date for The Death of Robin Hood is yet to be announced.
