It was a star-packed night at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles as the first wave of Creative Arts Emmys 2025 winners was revealed—and Apple TV+'s The Studio led the charge. The series scooped up a whopping nine trophies, including wins for Bryan Cranston and Julianne Nicholson, cementing its spot as the night’s biggest victor.
Hot on its heels, HBO Max’s The Penguin raked in eight awards across makeup, hairstyling, costumes, and sound, while Apple TV+’s Severance scored six wins, including honours for Merritt Wever. Disney+'s Andor, Netflix's Arcane, and Love, Death + Robots each walked away with four awards.
From awkward onstage antics (like Bridgerton costume designer John Walter Glaser’s wardrobe mishap) to irreverent acceptance speeches — including The Daily Show’s Desi Lydic cheekily thanking “the Deep State” — night one proved to be equal parts glitz, glamour, and unpredictability.
With 49 more statues still to be handed out on Sunday, the Creative Arts Emmys have set the stage for an exciting run-up to the Primetime Emmys. The ceremony will air on FXX on September 13 and stream on Hulu until October 7.
