With The Studio renewed for a second season on Apple TV+, Seth Rogen already has a dream guest star in mind: Vin Diesel.
During a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Rogen revealed he'd love to bring the Fast & Furious star into the comedy’s celebrity-packed universe. “There’s a lot of actors I would love to work with, and some specifically whose personas are funny to explore,” Rogen said. “I think Vin Diesel would be very funny and fun to work with, mostly because if you think about it, he’s only in those Fast & Furious movies.”
Rogen noted that for many younger viewers, Diesel has only ever been Dominic Toretto. “To see him outside of Dominic Toretto, to me, would be very exciting,” he added.
Kimmel joked that Diesel probably watches the show every night, prompting Rogen to pitch the actor directly on air. “I assume you’re watching this as you do every night… while driving like a 65 Pontiac,” Rogen quipped. “If you would please consider, maybe we can organize a Zoom — and I’ll capture your baldness on a hard drive.”
Season one of The Studio featured a star-studded lineup, including Charlize Theron, Martin Scorsese, and Zac Efron. Rogen’s wish list for season two suggests even more unexpected cameos could be on the way.
