The pre-release event of Hey Balwanth was held on Tuesday night in Hyderabad, where Suhas spoke candidly about his journey in films. Reflecting on his career, the actor said it has been nearly ten years since he entered the industry and that Majili gave him the much-needed breakthrough.
“After that success, I started getting offers. Once, the makers of a film approached me saying it was a big opportunity and that I would be playing the female lead’s close friend,” Suhas recalled. “I went to the location, and in front of everyone, the female lead asked the producers, ‘Why did you call this person?’ I just smiled and quietly walked away.”
Talking about how things changed over the years, Suhas shared an emotional moment from his later career. “A few years later, I got the opportunity to work with Keerthy Suresh in Uppu Kappuramabu. Both my wife and I are huge fans of hers. My wife used to prepare food at home, and I would take it for her during the shoot. On the very first day, she hugged me, and that moment felt like real success to me.”
Suhas also had a simple message for aspiring actors. “If someone says something negative to you, just smile and move on. When I became a hero, I realised there is no fixed definition of what a hero should be. I am the best example of becoming a hero without fitting into any so-called standard qualities,” he said.
Calling Hey Balwanth a crucial film at this stage of his career, Suhas expressed confidence in the project. “A lot of people have worked very hard on this film, and I truly believe it is going to be a big success,” he said.
The film stars Shivani Nagaram as the female lead, with Sudarshan in a key role. Veteran actor VK Naresh will be seen playing Suhas’s father.
