The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has raised objections to the title Hey Bhagawan. Following the objection, the makers have officially renamed the film Hey Balwanth. The film stars Suhas and Shivani Nagaram in the lead roles.

Reacting to the development, Suhas, through a video message, said, “Only the title has changed; the entertainment remains the same.” He added that everything happens for a reason and expressed confidence that the change would ultimately work in the film’s favour.

Telugu film titles have increasingly become a point of contention, with yet another film forced to undergo a title change following objections from the Central Board of Film Certification. The makers had been promoting the film for several months under its original title, but were asked to make changes when the film was submitted for certification.

In recent times, multiple films have faced similar issues. Vanara was renamed Vanaveera following objections, while Chaiwala was retitled Nawab Cafe after the board raised concerns.

The Censor Board had also objected to the title Couple Friendly, stating that the film would be certified with an ‘A’ certificate unless the title was changed. However, the makers chose to retain the title and accepted the adult certification.
