Rashmika Mandanna has made her first public appearance since suffering a hip injury on the sets of Mysaa, and husband Vijay Deverakonda, was by her side during the outing.
The actor was spotted at the engagement ceremony of producer-politician Niranjan Reddy’s son, Sahil Reddy, in Hyderabad. Videos from the event show Rashmika walking hand-in-hand with Vijay as the couple made their way through the venue. The two were also seen smiling and chatting, with the actor appearing to be in good spirits.
For the occasion, Rashmika opted for a black-and-gold traditional ensemble, while Vijay complemented her look in a black bandhgala. The couple was accompanied by security as they made their way through the gathering.
The appearance comes weeks after Rashmika revealed that she had injured herself while filming a dance sequence for Mysaa. In an Instagram post earlier this month, the actor explained that one of the tendons in her right hip had detached and needed time to heal before she could regain full movement. She also revealed that it was her third injury in a row.
“I should definitely learn to treat my body like a human body and not some machine,” Rashmika had written while opening up about her recovery. She described Mysaa as “the most aggressive film I’ve ever done” and said she was taking the break as a “forced holiday”.
Rashmika had been recuperating at home following the injury, with reports stating that she was advised a period of rest and rehabilitation. Her latest outing marks a gradual return to public appearances, although she is yet to resume her regular work schedule.
On the work front, Rashmika was last seen in Cocktail 2. She has Mysaa and Ranabaali in her upcoming lineup, among other projects. She is also set to share the screen with Vijay in Ranabaali.
