18 years ago, Ram Charan made his silver screen debut with Chirutha. Today, the actor has grown into one of Indian cinema’s biggest names and his father, Chiranjeevi, couldn’t be prouder.
Marking his son’s milestone, Chiranjeevi shared a heartfelt note, “Charan Babu, I am immensely delighted that your cinematic journey, which began 18 years ago with Chirutha, has today firmly established itself in the hearts of millions of fans. The moment I saw you as a hero on screen… as a father, I can never forget it. Your discipline, hard work, determination, humility, and dedication have made you stand out uniquely in the industry. With the love of Telugu audiences and the grace of God, I wish that you will scale many more peaks. Victory be yours…!”
The team behind Peddi, Ram Charan’s upcoming pan-Indian film, unveiled a brand-new poster to celebrate. Directed by Uppena filmmaker Buchi Babu Sana, the film promises a raw, emotional story set against a rugged rural backdrop. The poster captures Charan in a striking pose, standing on a railway track with a backpack on one shoulder, a beedi dangling from his fingers, and a fierce look in his eyes. It’s gritty, and a departure from his polished star image echoing his role in the acclaimed Rangasthalam.
Peddi reportedly features multiple looks for Charan, each reflecting different shades of his character. Adding more weight is the presence of AR Rahman on the soundtrack, with the first single expected soon.
Produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas, with Mythri Movie Makers, Sukumar Writings, and IVY Entertainment presenting, Peddi boasts an impressive ensemble. Janhvi Kapoor plays the female lead, while Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyendu Sharma join in pivotal roles. The technical crew is equally stacked, with R Rathnavelu on cinematography, Avinash Kolla in charge of production design, and National Award-winner Navin Nooli as editor.
Peddi is slated for a grand theatrical release on March 27, 2026, aligning with Ram Charan’s birthday.
