After months of speculation, Samantha Ruth Prabhu has finally confirmed that her long-awaited film Maa Inti Bangaram will begin shooting this month. The update came straight from the actress herself during an Instagram Q&A on Sunday, much to the delight of her fans who’ve been waiting for word on her next acting project.
Responding to a fan who asked about her upcoming Telugu film, Samantha wrote, “Finally, I have an answer to this question. Maa Inti Bangaram is finally starting this month.” The reply, simple yet full of relief, instantly set social media abuzz.
Originally announced on Samantha’s birthday in April 2024, Maa Inti Bangaram marks her first major acting role since last year’s Kushi, in which she starred opposite Vijay Deverakonda. The film is expected to be directed by her close friend and collaborator Nandini Reddy, with whom she previously worked on Oh! Baby and Jabardasth. The project will be bankrolled by Tralala Moving Pictures, Samantha’s own production house that she launched last year.
Samantha has been open about her recovery journey from myositis, an autoimmune condition that forced her to take a step back from acting in 2023. Over the past year, she has steadily eased back into work, first as a producer and now as an actor. Her debut production, Subham, received critical acclaim.
Beyond this, Samantha also has a high-profile web series titled Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdomin the pipeline, produced by Raj & DK. But for now, all eyes are on Maa Inti Bangaram, as Samantha gears up to return to the silver screen.
