New single from Ram Pothineni’s Andhra King Taluka to be out on this date

Ram Pothineni, whose previous release was the action-entertainer Double iSmart, will next be seen in a completely genre with Andhra King Taluka. Directed by Mahesh Babu P, the film promises to be a unique coming-of-age narrative about a wide-eyed fan and his love for cinema. On Tuesday, the makers shared about their upcoming single.

Titled ‘Chinni Gundelo’, the single will be out on Friday, October 31. KrishnaKanth has penned the lyrics for the song. Composer duo Vivek-Mervin, who primarily work in Malayalam cinema, are the music directors for the film Mervin has also served as playback singer for his composition, with Satya Yamini.

One of the singles released earlier, ‘Nuvvunte Chale’, became extremely popular among film-goers, garnering nearly 30 million hits on YouTube.  

Produced under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers, Andhra King Taluka also stars Bhagyashri Borse as the female lead and Kannada superstar Upendra in a guest appearance. The first teaser of the film, which was unveiled two weeks ago, gave a sharp glimpse of the theme of hero-worshipping the film promises to explore. The film also boasts a strong supporting cast featuring Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Satya, Rahul Ramakrishna, and VTV Ganesh, ensuring a mix of humour and gravitas.

Key technicians include Siddhartha Nuni behind the lens, Sreekar Prasad as the editor, and Avinash Kolla helming production design. Slated for release on November 28, Andhra King Taluka promises to be an inward-looking film about Telugu cinema itself. 

Mahesh Babu P previously directed the romantic comedy Mrs Shetty and Mr Polishetty, which released in September 2023 and was a box office hit.
