The upcoming Sivaji-Laya starrer, which is being produced under Sivaji’s production banner Sri Shivaji Productions, now has a title. Directed by debutant Sudheer Sreeram, the film is now titled Sampradayaini Suppini Suddapusaani.
Also featuring actors like Ali and Dhanraj in prominent roles, the film borrows its title from the ETV Win series 90s - A Middle Class Biopic, where a background music piece with this refrain got really popular. In the title announcement poster, Sivaji and Laya are seen walking forward seriously while Rohan is seen taking a selfie, which underlines both the light-hearted and crime elements of the film.
In this film, Sivaji will be seen as Panchayat Secretary Sriram, a man of integrity and compassion who stands firmly for truth and justice and can go to any extent to protect his family. The story, set in the backdrop of Chittoor, is co-written by Mithil Kumar and Sudheer Sreeram.
Sivaji is collaborating with ETV Win on the project. Ranjin Raj is providing music for this film. Rithvik Reddy is the cameraman and Balu Manoj D is the editor. Gudivaka Siva Kumar is credited as the co-director. The ensemble cast also includes Raghubabu, Jabardasth Emmanuel, Raj Tirandasu, and Karan. The makers are yet to announce a tentative release plan for their film, which is billed as an ETV Win original.
It is to be noted that Sivaji and Laya have famously worked together in many films in early 2000s like Missamma, Tata Birla Madhyalo Laila and Adirindayya Chandram. Laya recently made her comeback to Telugu cinema with Nithiin starrer Thammudu, the action-drama that released in July.
Meanwhile, Sivaji made a major comeback in last two years with 90s - A Middle Class Biopic and Court — State vs A Nobody. Sivaji's upcoming projects include Premaku Namaskaram, that is headlined by Shanmukh Jaswanth.
