Japanese-British choreographer Hokuto Konishi has been buzzed to be a part of AA22XA6 for a while. The artist took to social media on Monday to confirm his collaboration for the sci-fi film.
Hokuto dropped behind-the-scenes snaps with Allu Arjun and Atlee from the Mumbai shoot, sending fans into overdrive. He wrote, “Well now that the cat is out of the bag, I wanted to do a life update post for my past month working in the Indian film industry. I’ve always been so curious about the Indian film world, so this was definitely the best dive right into the deep end… Unfortunately, I can’t talk much about the project yet, only that there’s been a lot of hours and hard work put into it & that it’s going to be something quite insanely massive.”
Tentatively titled AA22xA6, Allu Arjun’s next big-screen adventure is already shaping up to be one of the most ambitious pan-Indian projects in recent times. The film brings together Arjun and Atlee, with Deepika Padukone cast as the female lead. Produced by Kalanithi Maran under Sun Pictures, the project is being mounted on a massive scale with sky-high expectations after the success of Pushpa and Jawan.
AA22xA6’s team recently wrapped an extensive schedule in Mumbai before heading to Abu Dhabi for location scouting. Reports suggest the film will feature Allu Arjun in four different roles; each tied to the same family lineage. The cast is already glittering, with Deepika confirmed, and buzz that Vijay Sethupathi, Rashmika Mandanna, Janhvi Kapoor, and Mrunal Thakur are in talks to join. The music is by Sai Abhyankar, who earlier scored the announcement promo that left fans stunned with its Hollywood-level production values.
With its global technicians, pan-Indian ensemble, a global marketing agency and now a Japanese choreographer in the mix, AA22xA6 seems determined to expand the scale of Telugu cinema yet again.
