Varun Tej and Lavanya Tripathi, who welcomed their first child last month, have now introduced him to the world with a name. On the occasion of Dussehra, the couple announced that their baby boy has been named Vaayuv Tej Konidela.
The name, derived from Vaayu, the Hindu god of wind and father of Lord Hanuman, is described by the couple as symbolising “unstoppable force, courage, devotion and spiritual radiance.” Fans have been quick to point out how beautifully the choice connects to the family’s cultural roots with Lord Hanuman while carrying forward the Tej tradition as all the Mega cousins are given Tej as their last name.
The announcement came with new pictures of the couple with their newborn. In one, Varun is seen tenderly kissing his son’s tiny hand, while another captures the new family lying together.
It’s been a season of good news for the extended Mega clan. Just a day ago, Allu Sirish announced his engagement to Nayanika, adding to the celebratory atmosphere within the family.
On the professional front, Varun Tej is currently working on his upcoming project, tentatively titled Korean Kanakaraju, directed by Merlapaka Gandhi and co-starring Ritika Nayak. Lavanya, meanwhile, is gearing up for the release of Sathi Leelavathi.
