Lavanya Tripathi is making a comeback to the big screen with her upcoming romantic comedy Sathi Leelavathi. The first single of the film, ‘Chitoor Pilla,’ was unveiled on Monday.
Penned by Vanamali, ‘Chittoor Pilla’ is a celebratory wedding number, energetic yet rooted in rustic sensibilities. Nutana Mohan is the primary vocalist, supported by Krishna Tejesvi and Ritesh G Rao. In the music video, choreographed by Brinda master, Lavanya Tripathi takes the centrestage as the bride, leading the way for everyone with her joy and infectious dance moves.
The number surprisingly takes a softer turn towards the end, using a classical-based arrangement with the same melody, capturing the traditionality and bliss of a wedding underneath all the celebrations. Mickey J Meyer, who last composed for the Nani starrer Hit 3, is the music director for Sathi Leelavathi. Venkatesh Patvari has been credited for Rhythms and percussions, while Neil provides the bass. The guitar and Mandolin sections are by Subhani.
Sathi Leelavathi is directed by Tatineni Satya. Anandi Art Creations is presenting the film, while Naaga Mohan is producing it under Durga Devi Pictures. Dev Mohan plays the male lead opposite Lavanya. The teaser of the film, unveiled two weeks ago, offering a glimpse into a marital comedy that blends domestic conflicts with humour.
The ensemble cast includes Naresh, VTV Ganesh, Sapthagiri, Motta Rajendra, and Tagubothu Ramesh. Additionally, Jaffer Sadiq, most popular for his appearance in Jailer and Jawan, is part of the cast. In the technical team, Binendra Menon is the cinematographer and Sathish Surya is the editor. Dialogues are by Udhay Pottipadu. The makers are yet to set a release date for their film.
Lavanya Tripathi was last seen in the Hotstar original series Miss Perfect, which began streaming in February 2024.
