Roshan Meka will soon be seen headlining the period sports drama Champion, produced by Priyanka Dutt. The film also marks Telugu debut for popular Malayalam actor Anaswara Rajan. On Wednesday, the makers unveiled the first single of their film ‘Gira Gira Gingiraagirey.’
Penned by National award winning lyricist Kasarla Shyam, ‘Gira Gira Gingiraagirey’ is a pleasant and cheery romantic song, brimming with a rustic vibe and very heartwarming in its mood overall. Ram Miriyala lends the song the much-needed upbeat energy, while Mickey J Meyer recreates the idyllicism of a village and its beauty through the arrangement.
The music video, choreographed by Sandeep Aata, features Anaswara and Roshan slowly getting close as they prep for a local drama performance. The production values of the song look very sleek and aesthetic. The key technicians for the film include Thota Tharani as the production designer, and Madhie as the cinematographer.

Champion, written and directed by Pradeep Advaitham, is set for a theatrical release on December 25, clashing against many mid-scale films like Patang and Shambhala. Swapna Cinema is producing this film in collaboration with Zee Studios, Anandi Art Creations and Concept Films. GK Mohan and Gemini Kiran are the other co-producers.
The sports-drama has stunt choreographer by Peter Hein. Editing is by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao. Rutham Samar is credited for additional screenplay.
