Mirai, The Teja Sajja starrer superhero movie had its OTT premiere in October, after performing well at the box office. However, the OTT release on JioHotstar, only included Telugu version and the dubbed versions of Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. The Hindi version was yet to have its streaming rights deal settled.
According to some reports, the Hindi version of Mirai will begin streaming on JioHotstar itself, on November 7. The Mirai makers or the streamer are yet to confirm the same.
It is to be noted that Teja Sajja’s previous film HanuMan performed exceptionally well in Hindi market, making Teja Sajja a popular name in the north belt as well.
Directed by Karthik Gattamneni, Mirai also featured Manchu Manoj as the main antagonist and Ritika Nayak as the female lead. Additionally, Shriya Saran and Jagapathi Babu were seen in prominent roles. In our review for the film, we noted, “In its best moments, Mirai truly offers a whiff of that wide-eyed, boyhood adventure spirit. But Mirai needed to move with a childlike energetic spirit, but it plods like an adult explaining a bedtime story after a long day at work.”
Produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad under People Media Factory banner, Mirai emerged as a box office success. Reportedly made on a budget of Rs 60 crore, the film grossed more than 140 crore at the box office worldwide.
