The much-awaited Pawan Kalyan starrer They Call Him OG is all set for a grand theatrical release worldwide on September 25. The film has already broken many advance sales records, looking to cross the 75 crore mark for its opening day advance figures alone. As a mark of respect, the makers of Mirai have decided to allot all of their screenings to OG on its opening day. Producer SKN confirmed the same on his X page.

Mirai, which released on September 12, has performed extremely well at the box office. And the film will continue to have its shows from September 26 onwards, adding another few crores to its worldwide collections. However, on September 25, all Mirai shows have been cancelled to make space for OG domination in theatres.

Meanwhile, OG has registered phenomenal numbers for its premiere shows on September 24, as well as its day 1 shows all over the world.  Despite facing many technical obstacles in terms of late content delivery delays for its overseas release, OG has crossed the $2.5 million mark in overseas market advance figures.

Directed by Sujeeth and produced by DVV Entertainment on a reported budget of Rs 250 crore, OG is expected to easily break-even on its opening weekend.

Set against the backdrop of 1980s Bombay, the story unfolds amidst political games, gangland wars and personal vendettas. Sujeeth’s vision is backed by Ravi K Chandran and Manoj Paramahamsa behind the camera, Thaman S on music, Navin Nooli on editing and AS Prakash handling production design.
