Amidst his busy shoot schedule for Spirit and Fauzi, Prabhas made a schedule for a two-day visit to Japan to meet his fans, on the occasion of special screening of Baahubali: The Epic. Producer Shobu Yarlagadda accompanied Prabhas on the visit.
On Saturday, Shobu Yarlagadda shared a montage video of Prabhas meeting his fans, who presented the star with many special souvenirs and artefacts made especially for the occasion. Addressing his fans at an event, Prabhas said, “After Baahubali, the entire team was speaking about your love so beautifully. Since last 10 years, I’ve been hearing about Japan so much. Finally I see you all, it was a dream to do this.”
Recalling how he came onboard, Prabhas shared, “Rajamouli wanted to make a film on a king. He thought I was the best fit for it. He wrote 4 stories iBaahubali, all of which had king protagonist. The 5th story was Baahubali. The budget was nearly 10 times of an average film, but it was Shobu’s support that led to this film.”
Talking about Baahubali’s impact on his life, Prabhas noted, “Before Baahubali, people only knew me in one part of the country. But after this film, everything changed. Its once-in-a-lifetime film, and every actor wants to be part of one such film. But personally, nothing changed — I am the same shy guy, with same old school friends.”
The Prabhas fans also wrote on a huge message board that was kept on display in the lobby of 109 cinemas, Kiba where the event took place.
Meanwhile, Prabhas is gearing up for his big release The Raja Saab that is scheduled to arrive on Sankranthi 2026.
