Baahubali: The Epic, the iconic SS Rajamouli film series that was recently released in theatres as a combine feature worldwide, has been performing well at the box office.
On Wednesday, Baahubali: The Epic garnered Rs 1.5 crore, taking its domestic nett collections to Rs 29.65 crore, according to a report from Sacnilk.com. While there is no clarity on the film’s collections in the overseas markets, Baahubali: The Epic has easily earned another 10 crores from non-domestic territories, considering its wide release especially in the US where it opened at 400 screens.
Baahubali: The Epic has already emerged as the highest grossing Indian re-release film ever, beating films like Sanam Teri Kasam, Tumbbad and Ghilli.
The special premiere shows held for the Prabhas-starrer on October 30 substantially helped the film a lot as well, in creating a strong buzz about the theatrical experience value, especially with its enhanced visual and sound mixing, compared to its original print.
A few days ago, the makers also announced an animation film series, as a spin off in the Baahubali universe. Tilted Baahubali: The Eternal War, the film had its teaser released on Tuesday, and received great praise for its animation quality.
