Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and actor Pawan Kalyan’s late-night visit to Allu Arjun’s residence has become the talking point on Telugu social media. The actor-politician travelled to Hyderabad after wrapping up his public meeting in Visakhapatnam to personally offer condolences to relatives, Allu Aravind and Allu Arjun, following the passing of their mother and grandmother, Allu Kanakaratnam.
Photographs from the meeting, shared by producer Sreenivasa Kumar (SKN) on X, showed Pawan seated with Allu Aravind and Allu Arjun at their home. “Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM @PawanKalyan garu visited #AlluAravind garu and Icon Star @AlluArjun garu at their residence to personally convey his condolences on the demise of #AlluKanakaratnam garu,” read his caption.
Allu Kanakaratnam, wife of veteran actor Allu Ramalingaiah and mother-in-law of Chiranjeevi, passed away on Saturday morning at the age of 94 due to age-related health issues. Her funeral was held in Hyderabad the same day. While Pawan’s wife, Anna Lezhneva, attended the rites, Pawan himself could not make it in time, prompting his late-night call on the family.
This was Pawan Kalyan’s first visit to Allu Arjun’s house in over a year, reviving discussions about a rumoured rift. Last year, speculation had swirled after Pawan chose not to visit when Allu Arjun faced a brief arrest, with reports pointing to political and family issues. By arriving at the family home now, Pawan’s gesture was seen as reaffirming long-standing ties despite chatter.
Other members of the Mega and Allu families, including Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan, had also been seen comforting Allu Aravind and Allu Arjun earlier. Chiranjeevi posted an emotional tribute online, “The demise of Kanakarathnamma Garu, wife of Sri Allu Ramalingayya Garu, is extremely heartbreaking. The love, courage, and life values she showed to our families will forever be an inspiration to us.”
