After officially announcing their film in April this year, the makers of Atlee-Allu Arjun project, tentatively billed as AA22xA6, have kept a relatively low profile on the casting updates. Besides Deepika Padukone, no other major cast member has been officially announced, despite reports of Mrunal Thakur and Rashmika Mandanna shooting for the project. Now reports are coming in that popular Tamil comedian Yogi Babu is on board as one of the cast members.
Reportedly, Yogi Babu is currently shooting with Allu Arjun and Mrunal Thakur in Mumbai for AA22xA6. Prominent actors including Vijay Sethupathi and Janhvi Kapoor are also in talks to join the ensemble. Sai Abhyankkar has reportedly been signed by Atlee, who also scored music for the promo video.
Yogi Babu and Atlee have earlier worked together in Mersal, Bigil and Jawan’s Tamil version, where Yogi Babu made a cameo appearance. On the other hand, if the reports are true, this would be the first time Yogi Babu and Allu Arjun are sharing screen.
The AA22xA6 makers are leaving no stone unturned in mounting their project as a massive pan-Indian spectacle with world-class technological standards. In the first promotional video, Allu Arjun and Atlee could be seen engaging with Ironhead Studio technicians like Jose Fernandez and James Madigan. A few days ago, we had reported that AA22xA6 team is planning to collaborate with Hollywood’s marketing agency Connekkt Mobscene.
AA22xA6 is produced by Kalanidhimaran under the Sun Pictures banner. The film is yet to receive an official title. Reportedly, Allu Arjun will be seen playing four different roles in the film that’s billed as a sci-fi actioner.
Yogi Babu’s popular film work in recent times include appearances in Tourist Family, Good Bad Ugly, Ace and Thalaivan Thalaivii.
