The makers of OG, starring Pawan Kalyan, took to social media on Monday to snub existing reports that the film still has shoot days left. Recent buzz emerged that Kalyan has another week of shooting left. Quashing the rumours, the film team, wrote, “EVERYTHING IS LOCKED & LOADED… No more action on the OFF SCREENS… Sept 25 only on the BIG SCREENS…”
OG is bankrolled by DVV Danayya and Kalyan Dasari under DVV Entertainment. Ravi K Chandran and Manoj Paramahamsa cranked the camera while AS Prakash handled production design. Last year a teaser entitled “Hungry Cheetah” created a storm on the internet. The film's first single, 'Firestorm', broke records and the second one, 'Suvvi Suvvi' is gearing up for release on August 27.
Directed by Sujeeth, OG shows Pawan Kalyan as Ojas Gambheera, a gangster returning from exile to Mumbai for a high-stakes mission to reclaim his authority. Priyanka Arul Mohan plays Kalyan’s love interest, while Emraan Hashmi appears as the main antagonist, Omi Bhau, in his Telugu cinema debut. The extended cast includes Arjun Das, Prakash Raj, Sriya Reddy, Shaam, Harish Uthaman among others.
OG is set to release worldwide on September 25, clashing against Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Akhanda 2, setting up a major box office clash in the Telugu film industry. For Pawan Kalyan, the film comes after the recent Hari Hara Veera Mallu, which had a mixed reception.
