70mm Entertainments has announced an ambitious new chapter in its journey, unveiling six feature film projects set to release over the next two years. The production house, founded by Vijay Chilla and Shashi Devireddy, made the announcement through a formal puja event and an official statement on social media on Sunday.
“We at 70mm Entertainments are excited to share that we’ve officially locked six new scripts for production,” the statement read and added, “These films will roll out over the next two years, each crafted with the same passion for storytelling and big-screen magic that has defined our journey so far. From Bhale Manchi Roju and Anando Brahma to Yatra and Sridevi Soda Center, our films have always aimed to connect deeply with audiences while delivering a true theatrical experience, and this new chapter will only enhance that. Exciting announcements about the cast and crew are on the way in the coming days. These six films are diverse in tone and genre, but they share a common thread: fresh ideas, strong emotions, and an uncompromising commitment to quality cinema. We can’t wait to bring them to life and share them with you on the big screen.”
In a move rare for the industry, the producers have chosen to reveal an entire multi-film slate at once. Each project is being developed with a different director and star, aiming to bring varied perspectives to the screen. The production house said it has deliberately taken time to refine scripts before moving into production, ensuring each story “stands tall on its own”.
70mm Entertainments, which has been active for over a decade, has built its reputation on content-driven cinema. The new slate, according to founders, Chilla and Devireddy, reflects a continued “commitment to crafting quality cinema while also pushing the envelope.”
The cast and crew for the six projects will be revealed in phases over the coming weeks. All films are slated to go into production soon, with releases staggered until 2027.
