On Tuesday, Trisha took to her official Instagram handle to slam rumours about her personal life. She penned a note that reads, "Apparently, I've quit film. Married a rich businessman, and I am raising quadruplets who turned two yesterday! Anything else I should add, or did we cover today's fiction quote?"
Trisha's response comes to actor-journalist Chithra Lakshmanan, who recently said that Trisha could be planning to quit her acting career, as verified by him from several producers. While the reports were not confirmed or denied by Trisha, speculations were further abuzz as the actor has not signed on for any films recently.
These rumours gained traction, as they came after Trisha shared a cryptic note on love. Captioning it as "Fact", she posted an image that read, “Love is not everything, and yet everything is meaningless without love." The post eventually went viral on social media with netizens decoding the meaning behind it.
Trisha has been at the centre of the limelight ever since her public appearance with Vijay at a wedding reception. The appearance came amidst Vijay's legal divorce proceedings from his wife Sankgeetha. The actor was accused of being in an extramarital affair with an actress, as mentioned by a petition filed by Sankgeetha. The public appearance further fuelled rumours about the extramarital affair.
Last seen in Mani Ratnam's Thug Life, Trisha is currently awaiting the release of Suriya's Karuppu, scheduled for May 14. Helmed by RJ Balaji, the film marks her reunion with Suriya after working with him in films like Mounam Pesiyadhe, Aaru and Manmadhan Ambu, among others. She will also be sharing the screen with Chiranjeevi in Vishwambhara, helmed by Mallidi Vassishta.
