Actor Nayanthara and the team of their upcoming film Hi recently organised a heartfelt surprise for veteran actor Radikaa Sarathkumar, celebrating her remarkable 40-year journey in cinema.

The celebration, which took place on the film’s sets, left Radikaa visibly emotional. Sharing glimpses from the moment on Instagram, she expressed her gratitude to the team and especially to Nayanthara for the gesture. “Thank you, @therowdypictures, to the sweetest @nayanthara for this surprise celebration on the sets of HI. I was so moved with the love and affection… my true success is measured only in the love I receive from my peers,” she wrote.

Directed by debutant Vishnu Edavan, the film marks his first project after assisting Lokesh Kanagaraj on films like Kaithi, Master and Vikram. Speaking about his directorial debut, Vishnu has described Hi as a wholesome family entertainer centred on true love.

The film brings together Nayanthara and Kavin for the first time, raising expectations among fans. The cast also includes K Bhagyaraj, Prabhu, Sathyan, Adithya Kathir and Kureishi in key roles. The film is backed by Zee Studios South, The Rowdy Pictures and Seven Screen Studios.

Currently being shot in and around Chennai, the film is said to feature seven songs, with two already completed. The technical crew includes music composer Jen Martin, cinematographer Rajesh Shukla, editor Philomin Raj, and art director Shekhar B. Choreography is handled by Brinda, while action sequences are being designed by Dinesh Kasi.

Meanwhile, Radikaa is fresh off the success of Thaai Kizhavi, helmed by Sivakumar Murugesan. The film hit theatres on February 27 and opened to critical acclaim and commercial success.
