

Actor Samantha is currently celebrating the success of her latest theatrical outing, Maa Inti Bangaram, which also marks her comeback to cinema. Helmed by BV Nandini Reddy, the film also featured her as a producer along with the protagonist.
Additionally, Samantha also made headlines on Saturday after her appearance at the film's success meet sparked rumours about her pregnancy. The film's director later confirmed to CE that the actor is indeed carrying.
Now, Samantha's Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal co-star Nayanthara has expressed her delight for the actor's success. Taking to her Instagram stories, Nayanthara wrote, "So happyyy for you, Sammmm @samantharuthprabhuoffl. You deserve all the love n success (red heart emoticons)... Biggg congratulations to the entire team of MIB." (sic). Samantha and Nayanthara played the two female leads of the Vignesh Shivan directorial, headlined by Vijay Sethupathi.
Maa Inti Bangaram marks Samantha’s first full-fledged action-led theatrical vehicle and sees her headline the narrative as Swarna, a newly married woman trying to blend into her husband’s conservative rural household while concealing a dangerous past as an assassin. When figures from her former life return, she is forced to confront who she once was to protect the family around her.
Samantha's last full-fledged feature role was opposite Vijay Deverakonda in Kushi in 2023. In 2024, she was seen in Citadel: Honey Bunny. She was then diagnosed with myositis, for which she took a break from acting. In her pipeline, she has Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom.
Last seen alongside Mammootty and Mohanlal in Patriot, Nayanthara has Dear Students with Nivin Pauly coming up in Malayalam. In Tamil, she has a slew of projects, including Hi, Mookuthi Amman 2, Rakkayie, and Mannangatti Since 1960. Her next film lined up for release is the most-awaited Kannada film, Toxic, headlined by Yash. She recently joined the cast of Salman Khan's next, helmed by Vamshi Paidipally.
