

After the massive success of Blast, headlined by Arjun, Abhirami and Preity Mukhundhan in lead roles, filmmaker Subash K Raj is reportedly in talks to with Vikram for his sophomore project.
Blast marked Subash's debut outing on the big screen. He was an erstwhile associate to Pradeep Ranganathan before making his first feature film. The story of Blast follows a family of fighters who are embroiled in a larger conspiracy and are forced to go up against a crime syndicate in a fight for survival. The film's cast also includes Vivek Prasanna, John Kokken, Arjun Chidambaram, Pawan, and Dileepan, among others. Besides the massive reception for its theatrical run, the film was also met with critical acclaim when it released on OTT recently. Towards the end of its theatrical run, the actioner reportedly earned nearly Rs 75 crore, a massive feat for a debutant.
Interestingly, Vikram was said to be the original choice for Arjun's role in Blast, before the actor eventually came on board. Now, it looks like the long-manifested collaboration will soon materialise as the actor and director are holding intense talks for an upcoming film. Details about it currently remain unknown.
Meanwhile, AGS Entertainment, which backed Subash's Blast is working with the production house once again for another project and reports are circulating about Karthi currently in discussions to headline the film. However, a confirmation is still awaited.
Vikram, who was last seen in Veera Dheera Soora - Part 2, is currently working on Anand Shankar's Chiyaan 63. It marks their reunion after Iru Mugan (2016). The film has actor-producer Riya Shibu as the female lead and music composed by Santhosh Narayanan.
