

After a long wait, the makers have shared an update on GV Prakash's upcoming film Mental Manadhil with Selvaraghavan, by unveiling the romantic drama's first single 'Uyire Uyire'. The heartwarming melody has been sung by Kapil Kapilan and has lyrics written by the director himself. The song shows GV Prakash's character falling in love with Madhuri Jain and their growing relationship.
While GV Prakash has composed music for Selvaraghavan's 2010 directorial Aayirathil Oruvan and 2011 film Mayakkam Enna, he is now set to act for the first time in the filmmaker's upcoming feature. Besides acting and composing for the upcoming movie, he is also bankrolling it under Parallel Universe Production House.
On the technical front, the film also has cinematographer Arun Ramakrishnan, editor Balaji, and art director RK Vijay Murugan. The film marks a return for Selvaraghavan to the full-fledged romance space after 7G Rainbow Colony (2004) and Aadavari Matalaku Arthale Verule, the 2007 Telugu film remade as Yaaradi Nee Mohini in Tamil. Plot details and a tentative release date for Mental Manadhil is yet to be announced by the makers.
GV Prakash was last seen in the children's comedy drama film Lucky the Superstar which was released on OTT platform JioHotstar recently. Up next, he has a long line up of films as an actor including Happy Raj, which marks Abbas' re-entry to films. He recently composed music for Sudha Kongara-Sivakarthikeyan's Parasakthi. Mandaadi, Suriya 46, Kara, Magudam and DQ 41, among others are his upcoming projects as composer.
