Director Vignesh Karthick, fresh off the success of Hot Spot 2 Much, has reportedly already started working on his next feature. As per the latest buzz, the filmmaker is all set to reunite with his Adiyae protagonist GV Prakash for his next directorial. Additionally, it is also being speculated that Telugu actor Vaishnavi Chaitanya, known for Baby, will be making her Tamil debut with the upcoming film. However, an official confirmation from the makers of the film is awaited.
Vignesh Karthick's third directorial, Adiyae, also starred Gouri Kishan, Venkat Prabhu, Mirchi Vijay, and Madumkesh, among others. The film, a sci-fi comedy, featured time and space travel. The film, which opened in theatres in 2023, received positive reviews from critics and audiences and became a hit at the box office.
Vignesh Karthick made his directorial debut with Yenda Thalaiyila Yenna Vekkala in 2018. He then made Thittam Irandu with Aishwarya Rajesh in the lead role. After Adiyae, he helmed Hot Spot and followed it up with the sequel this year. Hot Spot 2 Much opened to positive reviews and did well at the box office. Previously, in a recent conversation with CE, the director described his next as, "Up next, I'm working on a commercial entertainer in the lines of Love Today."
GV Prakash just had the premiere of Lucky the Superstar on JioHotstar last Friday. In the pipeline, the actor has a number of films, including Adangathey, Idimuzhakkam, 13, Mental Manadhil, Immortal, Aayiram Jenmangal, 4G, Kadhalikka Yarumillai, and Happy Raj. On the music front, he recently marked a century with Sivakarthikeyan's Parasakthi. Some of his upcoming films as composer include Mandaadi, Suriya 46, Dhanush's Kara, Vishal's Magudam, Ken Karunaas' Youth, and Dulquer Salmaan's DQ41, among others.
