Actor-politician Khushbu Sundar, who shares a long-standing friendship with Trisha, recently showered praise on the actor, calling her "one of the sweetest people" she has ever known. During a recent interview, Khushbu was shown a photograph of herself hugging Trisha and asked to describe the moment. Responding warmly, she said, "It's true, I really like Trisha. She is one of the sweetest people you will ever find. Our friendship goes back to years before she entered the film industry. Back then, she had just won the Miss Chennai pageant."
Khushbu also spoke fondly about Trisha, describing her as someone who shares a special bond with her family, especially her children. "Even before Avantika Sundar's marriage was fixed, my daughter called her and informed that she better lock the dates for her wedding. She was with us throughout the celebrations and spent four days with our family during the wedding," she added.
Khushbu has often spoken about her closeness with Trisha. During her elder daughter Avantika's marriage recently, Khushbu shared a photo of her hugging Trisha and calling her "Azhagi (beauty)".
She has also defended Trisha when rumours of her relationship with the current CM Vijay were at its peak. Calling her a "dignified woman", Khushbu spoke about the social media environment and how actors are under relentless scrutiny from internet users for every action they make. "Unfortunately, we are in a time where even if you sneeze, you want to blame it on someone else. What I know of both of them, with Trisha being very very close to me, she is one of the most dignified women I've ever met and the most gentlest soul," she said.
On the work front, Trisha was last seen in Suriya's hit recent film Karuppu, directed by RJ Balaji.
