Harish Kalyan, last seen in Lubber Pandhu, is currently gearing up for the release of Diesel, which was majorly shot in and around the sea. In a recent interview with Sudhir Srinivasan, the actor revealed a shocking story he heard from a fisherman during the pre-production for the film.

He said, "A few days before Diesel’s shoot, we spent two or three days at sea to get used to the conditions and avoid seasickness during filming. While there, a 70-year-old retired fisherman shared an unbelievable story with me. Years ago, when a storm hit, his boat capsized and drifted close to the Bangladesh border. He was lost at sea for nearly 48 days." Further, Harish said that the fisherman survived, but at a cost. "When he was rescued, he was just skin and bones, but alive. The fisherman who told me the story even showed me the man who had survived, and he’s perfectly healthy now. He told me he survived by drinking his own urine, because you can’t drink seawater—that would dehydrate you and kill you. Listening to such a harrowing story made me realise how blessed I am."
