Dhanush’s Idli Kadai continued its slow second-week run at the box office, adding Rs 1.50 crore (early estimates) on its 11th day across all languages, as per Sacnilk.com. This brings the film’s total domestic net collection to Rs 46.60 crore.

Despite entering the second weekend, the film has shown minimal upward movement, with Saturday’s numbers rising only slightly from Friday’s Rs 0.85 crore. While the increase signals marginal weekend interest, it also highlights that the film’s box-office momentum has largely flattened after a strong opening week.

The Tamil version continues to drive collections, while the Telugu version contributes modestly. Chennai, Bengaluru, and Pondicherry reported the best occupancies on Saturday, with late-night shows performing relatively better than daytime screenings.

Directed and headlined by Dhanush, Idli Kadai also stars Nithya Menen, Arun Vijay, Shalini Pandey, Sathyaraj, Parthiban, Samuthirakani, and Rajkiran. The drama follows Murugan’s return to his roots as he rebuilds his father’s humble idli shop after walking away from a Michelin-star career.

While Kantara: Chapter 1 continues its historic box-office dominance nationwide, surpassing Rs 500 crore, Idli Kadai has held on primarily in Tamil Nadu, where Dhanush’s fan following and family audience turnout have kept the film afloat.

Our Cinema Express review of Idli Kadai noted, “Dhanush headlines a warm and fuzzy film that makes us realise that familiarity and comfort are good, but only for a while.”

Backed by Akash Bhaskaran’s Dawn Pictures and Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films, the movie features music by GV Prakash Kumar, cinematography by Kiran Koushik, editing by GK Prasanna, and art direction by Jackson. It also marks Inban Udhayanidhi’s debut as a distributor.
