Krithi Shetty, who made her debut with a small role in Super 30 six years ago in 2019, is currently awaiting the release of three films in Tamil. Last seen in Ajayante Randam Moshanam (ARM), the actor has LIK (Love Insurance Kompany), Vaa Vaathiyaar, and Genie.

Recently, Pradeep Ranganathan's LIK was announced to hit theatres on December 18. Meanwhile, on Wednesday, it was announced that Karthi's Vaa Vaathiyaar is set to open in theatres on December 5. With the release of the first single, 'Abdi Abdi', from Ravi Mohan's Genie, speculations are rife that that film is also slated for a December release.

If Genie is also confirmed to hit theatres in December, Krithi Shetty will have three Tamil releases that month, after two whole years. Her last Tamil film was Venkat Prabhu's Tamil-Telugu bilingual, Custody, in which she shared the screen with Naga Chaitanya. Last year, apart from ARM, she was seen in the Telugu film, Manamey.

Interestingly, all three films listed above are much delayed. Vaa Vaathiyaar was officially announced in October 2023. Similarly, LIK was initially announced in 2019 with Sivakarthikeyan starring and Lyca Productions producing; however, it was shelved due to budget concerns. In 2023, it was revived with Pradeep. It had multiple release dates announced, including September 18 and October 17. Meanwhile, Genie was also announced in July 2023, with its release date yet to be announced.

Nalan Kumarasamy is the director of Vaa Vaathiyaar, which reportedly revolves around a fanatic fan of legendary actor MGR, who raises his grandson like a reincarnation of MGR. The extended supporting cast also features Anandaraj, Shilpa Manjunath, Karunakaran, GM Sundar, Vadivukarasi, and Madhur Mittal, among others.

LIK, helmed by Vignesh Shivan, also stars SJ Suryah, Gouri Kishan and Yogi Babu in prominent roles. A sci-fi rom-com, the film is set in the future. Genie, on the other hand, is helmed by Arjunan Jr and also stars Kalyani Priyadarshan and Wamiqa Gabbi as female leads.
