Vignesh Shivan took to his Instagram Stories to shower his Love Insurance Kompany cast and crew with effusive praise. He shared a picture with his LIK star, director-actor Mysskin. "Love this man! Need a stage and a mic for 10 days," read the caption for the post, referring to the director-actor's ability to entertain the audience with his on-stage storytelling. The filmmaker shared another picture with his LIK cinematographer Ravi Varman and production designer Muthuraj Thangavel, calling them "legends". In a subsequent post, Vignesh describes Ravi Varman as "one of a kind", "genius" and "master of photography".

One more picture featuring Vignesh and his Love Insurance Kompany star SJ Suryah carries some love emoticons. In a different image with lead actor Krithi Shetty, Vignesh asks (perhaps rhetorically) whether she is prepared to dub for the film in both Tamil and Telugu. Interestingly, the director describes the film as Krithi Shetty's Tamil debut. She also has the Tamil-Telugu bilingual The Warrior to her credit.

About Gouri Kishan, who plays a role in the film, Vignesh says she adds "some cuteness for the movie." However, the filmmaker reserved his biggest praise for lead actor Pradeep Ranganathan. In a BTS image, he calls Pradeep his "favourite actor in a long long time."

Vignesh Shivan has been on a promotional spree for LIK and has been facing flak for his decision to work with Jani Master. Ever since he put out a post calling the choreographer "Sweeet master ji", netizens and women's rights activists have been criticising Vignesh and his actor wife Nayanthara, who also produces the film, for their stance to work with and promote a MeToo accused. Singer Chinmayi Sripaada, for instance, called it out, writing, "Jani is out on conditional bail involving a minor’s sexual assault. We as a people seem to love ‘talented’ offenders and will keep promoting them and keeping them in positions of power which the offenders use to harangue the women more - “See nothing will happen to me.” It is just how we are. Sweeeeeet!"

SS Lalit Kumar also presents and produces the film, which is slated for a September 18 release. The film follows a man travels forward in time to 2035 with a gadget in pursuit of love. The technical team behind the film also includes composer Anirudh Ravichander.
