Vishnu Vishal's latest theatrical outing, Aaryan, is all set to premiere on OTT. The film was released in theatres on October 31 but received mixed reviews from audiences who pointed out several issues with the film, including its climax.
Directed by Praveen K, Aaryan stars Vishnu Vishal as a cop once again to hunt a serial killer who discloses the name of the victim he is set to kill exactly one hour before the crime is to take place.
Aaryan is all set to premiere on Netflix on November 28. Vishnu Vishal is joined by actors Shraddha Srinath, Maanasa Choudhary, and Selvaraghavan in prominent roles in the film.
Our CE review of the film read, "Aaryan could have been a compelling exploration of a mind mired in the gritty and dark underbelly of mindless killings and violence. Instead, it is cramped into a narrative that is lethargic despite having a ticking clock woven into it."
The film's technical crew comprises Harish Kannan as cinematographer, Ghibran as composer and editor San Lokesh. Apart from Tamil, the film is set to release in Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi on Netflix. Produced by Vishnu Vishal's Vishnu Vishal Studioz, Aaryan is penned by the actor's FIR collaborator Manu Anand.
Following the film's release, Vishnu Vishal announced that he and the team have removed six minutes from the total runtime duration of the climax portion after feedback from audiences. The change was made a week after the release, and the trimmed version played in theatres thereafter.
