Actor Vishnu Vishal, who was recently seen in Aaryan, has revealed that he, along with the makers of the film have decided to trim the runtime of the thriller. Aaryan was released in theatres on October 31, but received mixed reviews from audiences who pointed out several issues with the film, including its climax.
In a recent post-release event, Vishnu Vishal announced that he and the team have removed six minutes from the total runtime duration of the climax portion after feedback from audiences. The new version is currently running in theatres.
Speaking in a post-release event, the actor-producer mentioned that the decision was taken after many pointed out the dip in the pace of the film during its climactic portions. He further stated that the change will make the experience of the film better for fans.
Directed by Praveen K, Aaryan stars Vishnu Vishal as a cop once again to hunt a serial killer who discloses the name of the victim he is set to kill, exactly one hour before the crime is to take place.
Our CE review of the film read, "Aaryan could have been a compelling exploration of a mind mired in the gritty and dark underbelly of mindless killings and violence. Instead, it is cramped into a narrative that is lethargic despite having a ticking clock woven into it."
Vishnu Vishal is joined by actors Shraddha Srinath, Maanasa Choudhary, and Selvaraghavan in prominent roles in Aaryan. The film's technical crew comprises Harish Kannan as cinematographer, Ghibran as composer and editor San Lokesh. Apart from Tamil, the film is set to release in Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. Produced by Vishnu Vishal's Vishnu Vishal Studioz, Aaryan is penned by the actor's FIR collaborator Manu Anand.
