
After weeks of being in treatment for his mental health issue, actor Sri (also known as Shriram Natarajan) has made a comeback on social media. This time, to share details about his debut English novel he had written and self published.
Taking to his handle, the actor who rose to fame with his debut in Balaji Sakthivel’s critically acclaimed Vazhakku Enn 18/9, mentioned that it was "great to be back" and revealed that he had written an English novel titled May Eye Come In.
He further noted that it is a romantic comedy novel and will be loved by people who like watching films in the genre. The book is available to purchase on Amazon. "I really hope that my novel will respect the kind of time and money I spent for it," he added.
In April this year, the actor had shocked fans after posting a few explicit videos and photos on social media. The content drew attention for his drastic weight loss and made many worried about his mental well-being. After many audiences shared the videos to reach his friends, family and industry professions who worked with him like Lokesh Kanagaraj and SR Prabhu, the Vikram director shared an official statement from Sri’s friends and family and reassured that he was receiving medical help.
SR Prabhu, who has backed some of Sri's films including Maanagaram and Irugapatru (2023), directed by Yuvaraj Dhayalan, released a statement in the same week urging everyone to understand the facts before commenting on his issues.
After Vazhakku Enn 18/9 (2012) and went on to star in films like Onaayum Aatukuttiyum (2013), Soan Papdi (2015), Vil Ambu (2016), and Maanagaram (2017). The actor has been away from the public eye for a few years after his notable role in Irugapatru in 2023.
