Producer SR Prabhu has expressed concern on actor Sri's health condition after his explicit videos and photos went viral on the internet. He stated that Sri’s family, friends, and the producer himself have been trying to reach out to the actor for some time and that they are focused on bringing him back to good health.
In a post on his X handle, he elaborated, "We are genuinely concerned about the health and well being of Shri. His family and friends including us are trying to reach him for a long time. It is so unfortunate that there is so much speculation forming around it. But reaching Shri and bring him back to good health will be the first priority. Would highly appreciate if anyone can help us achieve that (sic)."
SR Prabhu has backed some of Sri's films including his breakthrough project Maanagaram (2017), directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj in his directorial debut and the actor's latest work Irugapatru (2023), directed by Yuvaraj Dhayalan. Addressing hate comments on the actor not receiving salaries for his recent projects, SR Prabhu urged everyone to understand the facts before commenting. He also issued a strong warning, stating, “To those making comments or spreading stories without knowing the truth, and to the ones exploiting his vulnerability and spamming my timeline — go f_<€ yourself.”
Sri rose to fame with his debut in Balaji Sakthivel’s critically acclaimed Vazhakku Enn 18/9 and went on to star in films like Onaayum Aatukuttiyum, Son Papdi, Vil Ambu, and Maanagaram. The actor who has been away from the public eye for a few years after his notable role in Irugapatru, was seen visibly transformed—significantly leaner than before—raising questions about his physical and emotional state.
Before his film career, Sri was part of Kana Kaanum Kaalangal Season 2 on Vijay Television and also briefly appeared in the first season of Bigg Boss Tamil, exiting the reality show just four days after entering.
