Director Sudha Kongara, whose Parasakthi is gearing up for release on January 10, opened up about her dream to work on a full-fledged romance story, that too with Rajinikanth, in a recent promotional interview.
Speaking to Behindwoods, she said, "I really love love stories. I wish to make a full-fledged love story. I wish to make such a love film with Rajinikanth sir. I would love to make a film like Muthal Mariyathai with him. That has been my long-time wish. I have a story for the film also, but I will have to develop it and flesh it out to pen a screenplay. I want to do all kinds of stories, but specifically a love story. I also want to retire quickly. I'm already tired and exhausted."
Parasakthi stars Sivakarthikeyan, Sreeleela, Atharvaa and Ravi Mohan in lead roles. Reportedly, Rana Daggubati is also a part of the film, but the makers are yet to disclose the same. The film marks Sreeleela's debut in the Tamil industry.
Parasakthi is Sudha Kongara's fourth film after Drohi, Irudhi Suttru, and Soorarai Potru. Sudha has written the film along with Arjun Nadesan, with an additional screenplay by Ganeshaa and dialogues by Madhan Karky and Shan Karuppusamy. The crew of the film includes GV Prakash as the music composer, Ravi K Chandran as the cinematographer and Sathish Surya as the editor. Aakash Baskaran is producing the film under his Dawn Pictures banner.
Dev Ramnath is serving as the creative producer, along with MP Senthel and Rhea Kongara, who are serving as executive producers. Red Giant Movies is distributing the film. Upon release, Parasakthi will compete with Vijay's final film, Jana Nayagan, at the box office. The latter is scheduled to hit theatres on January 9.
