Bhagyashri Borse has opened up about her evolving relationship with faith, sharing a personal memory from her childhood. Posting a serene video of herself at a temple on Friday, the actor wrote that she once reacted to every setback by “fighting with God” the way a child argues with a parent. “As a little kid, any trouble in life… the first thing I’d do was fight with God, as if he’s my father, and question him all the time,” she recalled, adding that with time, she has come to trust that “he knows the best for me.”
The actor has been enjoying a wave of appreciation for her recent work. Her performance as Kumari in Selvamani Selvaraj’s period drama Kaantha earned glowing praise, and Bhagyashri has often said that the overwhelming audience response to the role reinforced her belief that hard work truly takes one places.
She also appeared alongside Ram Pothineni in Andhra King Taluka, which hit screens on November 27. Despite Ram reportedly forgoing his remuneration in exchange for the Nizam and Guntur rights, the film’s high budget and low footfall resulted in a disappointing box-office run, with the project now headed toward a commercial failure.
Looking ahead, Bhagyashrii is currently shooting for Lenin opposite Akhil and is attached to several upcoming projects. Even with multiple films under her belt, she continues to wait for the one defining role that will cement her position and give her the major breakthrough she’s striving for in Tollywood.
