Fans of Ajith Kumar are eagerly awaiting updates about his next film, the actioner Vidaamuyarchi. The Magizh Thirumeni film promises to be full of cutting edge action scenes, including those involving Ajith's favorite mode of transport: cars. The film has been predominantly shot in Azerbaijan.
The film unites Trisha with Ajith after the 2015 Gautham Vasudev Menon film Yennai Arindhaal. Prior to that, they were seen together in many films like Mankatha (2011), Kireedam (2007), and Ji (2005).
Anirudh will compose music for the film, marking it his third collaboration with Ajith Kumar after Vedalam (2015) and Vivegam (2017), both of which were directed by Siva.
Initially, director Vignesh Shivan was roped in for the film, before getting replaced with Magizh. The cinematography is handled by Om Prakash, while the editing is by N B Srikanth.
It is bankrolled by Lyca Productions. An official release date is yet to be announced, though there are speculations of a December release.

Sharing screen space with Ajith after Mankatha 14 years ago, actor Arjun has been cast in a prominent role in this Magizh Thirumeni directorial.
The details of their roles are yet to be revealed.
Earlier, the posters of other members of the cast including Trisha, Arjun Sarja, Arav and Regina Cassandra were released
Her image is seen as an inset in silhouettes of Ajith and Trisha's characters.
This film is the second collaboration between Arav and Magizh Thirumeni. The actor has previously starred in the filmmaker's Kalaga Thalaivan, in which Udhayanidhi Stalin played the lead.
A line in the poster reads, "32 years of trials, tribulations, and triumphs. Perseverence prevails."
Arjun was last seen in the Malayalam film Virunnu, released as Virundhu in Tamil.
While one poster features Ajith driving a car, another shows the actor holding a long rifle with his hand on his chest. The poster also features the tagline, 'Efforts Never Fail'.
The title follows the tagline, perseverance and triumph and the poster, which depicts Ajith walking along an endless road with a bag in his hand, has been titled "On his Path".
It may be noted that the project which was previously referred to as AK62 was supposed to be directed by Vignesh Shivan. But the filmmaker was disassociated from the project due to creative differences with the production house.
