Simran has joined the cast of Karthik Subbaraj's upcoming Vikram-Dhruv-starrer. The film, tentatively referred to as Chiyaan 60, went on floors today.

This project will be her second collaboration with Karthik after the Rajinikanth-starrer Petta. Simran took to social media to announce the update and said, "An exceptional opportunity to team up with Karthik Subbaraj again. Star-struck, super glad to join the father-son duo of Chiyaan Vikram and Dhruv Vikram on Chiyaan 60."

Earlier today, it was announced that the music composing duties for the film have changed hands from Anirudh to Santhosh Narayanan, making it the latter's sixth collaboration with Karthik. The film also stars Vani Bhojan in an important role.

Chiyaan 60 marks the third collaboration between Vikram and Simran after her cameo performance in Pithamagan and the yet-to-be-released Gautham Menon film, Dhruva Natchathiram.

Simran is also part of Prashanth's Andhagan, which went on floors today.

Meanwhile, Vikram has Ajay Gnanamuthu's upcoming film, Cobra, and Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan  in the pipeline.
