Vani Bhojan joins Vikram-Dhruv-Karthik Subbaraj film

It is unclear if Vani is playing one of the lead roles in Chiyaan 60

Published: 19th February 2021

We had previously reported that Karthik Subbaraj is teaming up Vikram and his son Dhruv Vikram for Vikram's 60th film, tentatively called Chiyaan 60. It is now known that Vani Bhojan will also be part of this film. However, it is unclear if she is playing one of the lead roles. Interestingly, Vani was recently seen in the web series, Triples, that was produced by Karthik Subbaraj.

SS Lalit Kumar of Seven Screen Studio, who is producing Vikram's upcoming film Cobra, helmed by Ajay Gnanamuthu, will also be bankrolling Chiyaan 60. The makers had previously confirmed that this yet-to-be-titled film will be released on April 14, but this date is expected to be pushed.

Chiyaan 60 will have music by Anirudh, who is reuniting with his Petta director, marking their second collaboration. Incidentally, this is also the second time Anirudh is composing the music for Vikram, after the Kanave Kanave track in the actor's 2013 film, David.

Dhruv Vikram will next be teaming up with Mari Selvaraj. Vikram, on the other hand, has almost wrapped up Cobra, following which he will shoot for Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan. Karthik Subbaraj, meanwhile, is awaiting the release of Jagame Thandhiram, starring Dhanush.
