The third and final season of the series Maxton Hall – The World Between Us is set to premiere on Prime Video on December 09, the streamer announced on Monday. The announcement of the date comes weeks after it was revealed that the third season would arrive in December. "Nothing will ever be the same. Maxton Hall, the Final Season premieres December 9," the streamer wrote in the caption for the release date announcement post, along with a poster featuring Harriet Herbig-Matten and Damian Hardung's characters.
Maxton Hall – The World Between Us season 3 is an adaptation of Mona Kasten’s Save Us, the third book in her eponymous book trilogy. It explores Ruby and James' evolving relationship following her expulsion from Maxton Hall College, putting her ambitions of entering Oxford University in danger. Besides Herbig-Matten and Hardung, the returning cast for the third season includes Eidin Jalali, Sonja Weißer, Ben Felipe, Fedja van Huêt, Runa Greiner, Justus Riesner, Govinda Gabriel, Andrea Guo, Frederic Balonier, Dagny Dewath, and Eli Riccardi.
Martin Schreier also comes back as the director for the series, with Ceylan Yildirim serving as a writer and executive producer. Yildirim has written the screenplay alongside Sandra Stöckmann, Catharina Junk, Aylin Kockler, and Marlene Melchior. The upcoming season is produced by UFA Fiction and Amazon MGM Studios.
Amazon renewed Maxton Hall for a third season six months before its second season's premiere on Prime Video. The series set at a boarding school has already broken the streamer's global viewership records, with its second season achieving "the largest first-week global viewership for an International Original in Prime Video history."
With production wrapped up, the third season is gearing up for its release.
