Just a month after the premiere of season 2 of Maxton Hall—The World Between Us on November 7, Prime Video has announced that the third and final season for the series has wrapped filming. The series stars Harriet Herbig-Matten and Damian Hardung as Ruby Bell and James Beaufort, respectively.

The series is based on Mona Kasten’s young-adult novel, Save You. The series is Prime Video’s record-breaking International Original Series, as the second season became the platform’s most-watched non-English-language title to date.

The final season will start where season two left us. Suspended from Maxton Hall College and desperate to clear her name, Ruby finds herself facing a future that’s slipping out of reach. All signs point toward James as the reason behind her expulsion, a betrayal that threatens not only her long-held Oxford ambitions but also the fragile bond between them. As the pair scramble to protect Ruby’s academic standing, the world around them spirals into turmoil. James’s tightly knit group of friends becomes entangled in rising tensions, and emotional fractures begin to reshape long-standing alliances. The deeper Ruby and James sink into the chaos, the more they are forced to confront a painful truth: their lives exist in completely different worlds, and appearances can be dangerously deceptive. With old wounds resurfacing and new shadows closing in, love and loyalty face their fiercest test yet.

Harriet Herbig-Matten and Damian Hardung will be joined by Sonja Weißer (Lydia), Eidin Jalali (Graham), Ben Felipe (Cyril), Fedja van Huêt (Mortimer), Runa Greiner (Ember), Justus Riesner (Alistair), Govinda Gabriel (Kesh), Andrea Guo (Lin), Frederic Balonier (Kieran), Eli Riccardi (Elaine), and Dagny Dewath (Ophelia).

Martin Schreier returns to direct the new season, with Markus Brunnemann and Ceylan Yildirim serving as executive producers. The third season’s writing team includes Sandra Stöckmann, Ceylan Yildirim, Marlene Melchior, Catharina Junk, and Aylin Kockler, with Eike Adler and Valentin Debler producing. The production continues to receive support from the German Motion Picture Fund (GMPF). A premiere date for the final season is yet to be announced.
